I teach across microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology and bioinformatics, with emphasis on connecting fundamental molecular biology to infectious disease mechanisms, antimicrobial resistance and translational biomedical science.

My teaching experience includes senior undergraduate and postgraduate instruction in Tanzania, Uganda and Botswana, with a focus on helping students connect molecular and cellular biology with infectious disease mechanisms, laboratory interpretation and modern biomedical research.

COURSE THEMES

Microbiology

Basic and clinical microbiology, pathogen biology, bacterial genomics, antimicrobial resistance and diagnostic microbiology.

Immunology

Basic and clinical immunology, host–pathogen interactions, infection-associated immune responses and immunology for biomedical students.

Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Metabolism, enzyme biology, molecular genetics, gene expression, biomolecules and laboratory-based molecular biosciences.

Bioinformatics and Omics

Introductory sequence analysis, public databases, UNIX-oriented analysis concepts, pathogen genomics, proteomics and computational interpretation.

Mentorship

Mentorship of junior scientists in wet-laboratory methods, computational biology, scientific writing and omics-based infectious disease research.
